Since acquiring his first Avant compact tool carrier in 2011, Steven Whitaker says he now wouldn't be without one. The main reason for this praise is the outstanding versatility the green machine provides by being able to make light work of so many jobs using a choice of over 100 different, easy to fit attachments.
This versatility has resulted in most members of the Whitaker family now happy to take a turn at the controls including Ellen, Joe & Donald who use the machine for jobs ranging from sweeping the yards and carting muck to flailing brambles and transporting pallets of feed and bedding. It's all in a day's work for the Avant.
The first unit supplied to the Barnsley based Whitaker family has recently been replaced by a new 640 model which not only offers a little more power but also features a two-speed hydraulic drive system which enables faster travelling around the yard when necessary.
Commenting on his continuing sponsorship by Avant, Steven Whitaker said: "The Avant really is a fantastic piece of kit and even when my arrangement with the company comes to an end there is no way the company is taking the machine away as we would now be completely lost without it!"
